Nucleus Media Rights is proud to announce that Rudolf Martin officially joins the cast of Heresy, our period-drama series currently in works, as the lead role.

Set in thirteenth century medieval Italy, when the country was engulfed in a struggle for power between the Catholic Church, the Holy Roman Empire and French Templars, the series centers around a mysterious young woman whose life is intrinsically linked to the destiny of the world. Martin will portray Matteo Gatti, a shadowy yet heroic Machiavellian figure.

Rudolf Martin has been charming television and film audiences for almost twenty years. Most recognizable for his role as Mossad double agent “Ari Haswari” in “NCIS”, Martin also distinguished himself in top series such as “CSI”, “24”, “Dexter”, “Mad Men” and “Borgia” and big Hollywood productions such as “Swordfish”, ”Bedazzled” and most recently opposite Matt Damon in James Mangold’s “Ford vs Ferrari”.

Martin calls Heresy “a journey into the darkest origins of our myths and ideas, disguised as a roller coaster action and adventure ride for everyone“. In addition, Martin “[is also] very excited at the prospect of working with Nucleus, a modern, lean and mean European boutique studio with high standards and an eye for quality.”

We, at Nucleus Media Rights, are beyond thrilled to welcome a talent like Rudolf on this upcoming journey. We are looking forward to starting working and building a challenging and outstanding show.

– Currently in works, Heresy is created by Mark Melville and co-written by Melville and Eric Small (Rubicon). Production is set to start in Spring 2020 for a release in Q2 2021.
